The "UK GDPR" comes into force at 11:00 PM on the 12th of April 2019 (or a date to be determined) which will be known as (exit day).

This document is the Draft Version of the Bill

the Draft Regulations laid before Parliament under paragraphs 1(1) and 12(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, section 211(5) of the Data Protection Act 2018 and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 for approval by resolution of each House of Parliament.

EXITING THE EUROPEAN UNION DATA PROTECTION ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS 
The Data Protection, Privacy and Electronic Communications (Amendments etc) (EU Exit) Regulations 2019 Made - - - - *** Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(2) and (3) The Secretary of State makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 8(1) and 23(1) of, paragraph 1(1) of Schedule 4 to and paragraph 21 of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018(a), section 211(2) of the Data Protection Act 2018(b) and section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972(c). In accordance with paragraph 3(1) of Schedule 4 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury. The Secretary of State is a Minister designated for purposes of section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 1972 in respect of matters relating to electronic communications. In accordance with paragraphs 1(1) and 12(1) of Schedule 7 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018, section 211(5) of the Data Protection Act 2018 and paragraph 2(2) of Schedule 2 to the European Communities Act 1972 a draft of this instrument has been laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
